Welcome to Make-Along Club by Fiber Lily.
A quarterly yarn club suitable for knitters and crocheters.
Throughout 2024 we will be making knit and crochet blankets together - Piece by piece, month by month.
Signup during the release period (28th December - 3rd January) and receive 20% off (including postage within Australia). For this round, your packages will be sent in the 2nd week of January, February and March 2024 - Release period is now closed
You can see both palettes of the entire 2024 Make-Along Club Collection in this listing's images. They will remain visible for the whole year.
There will be four rounds throughout the year Jan, Feb, March - April, May, June - July, Aug, Sept & Oct, Nov, Dec. The three colourways for each round will be published in there own image when the rounds open for signups.
If you miss out on ordering during the release period or decide to join later, the three skein bundles will be available to order after each three month period ends. For this round, that will be 14th March 2024.
Both Patterns are designed for DK weight yarn. If you are joining the Make-Along, select D'Luxe DK as your base when ordering this Make-Along Club. These patterns were carefully selected for their modular design and estimated achievable time frames to work up each month.
We may need extra yarn at the end of 2024 to join our blanket blocks/squares. This will be assessed and made available to order as we near the end of 2024.
The selected patterns for this Make-Along are not designed by me. They are skilfully designed by independent designers. All due respect and thanks go to them for their hard work and amazing designing talent.
Knit: Norah's Vintage Afghan by Norah Gaughan - We will be making a modified version of 12 blocks (3 x 3) instead of 20 for this blanket to fit with the 12 months of different colours of this Make-Along. If you would like to make all 20 blocks, by all means, order two of each round. You will end up with 24 blocks and you can choose the 20 you would like to join once they are all made.
The following specs were obtained when sampling block one with D'Luxe DK;
4.5mm needles - 91g - Finished blocked size 36cm x 35cm, personal gauge 24sts x 23 rows = 10cm. Leftover yarn can be used to join blocks.
Crochet: Nature's Walk Blanket by Sandra Paul - We will be making a modified version of 36 squares (3 squares per colourway) instead of 48 for this blanket to fit the 12 months of different colours of this Make-Along. If you would like to make the all 48 squares, by all means order multiples of some rounds to make up the extra meterage required.
The following specs were obtained from making the 'swatch pattern' square with D'Luxe DK;
4mm hook - 30g - Finished, blocked size 21.5cm x 21.5 cm, personal gauge 16 sts x 7.5 rows = 10cm.
This square is larger than the pattern suggests. You may want to adjust your hook size to make smaller squares however, my blanket will only be 36 squares (6 x 6) and after joining and adding a a border, I will be happy with the estimated size of approximately 140cm x 140cm.
*Your personal gauge may vary. Please keep this in mind when deciding to join this Make-Along.
*This is NOT an automatic recurring subscription. To continue with your palette you will need to sign up for each subsequent round. I will send out newsletters and post on social media in the lead up to each round.
Join the fun on Instagram, post progress pics of your blanket and enjoy other Make-Along Club members blanket progress throughout 2024. Use the hashtag #FLMALCLUB2024 to go into a prize draw each month.

Fiber Lily yarns are hand dyed (not mass produced using machines). Therefore, you can possibly expect small amounts of bare yarn within any given skein. Skeins may also vary in colour and speckle saturation, from skein to skein and within the same skein. Your project may work up differently to the sample shown (if shown). This is the very nature and charm of hand dyed yarn, and the reason why alternating skeins is strongly advised.
Best colour representation as possible however, colours may vary slightly between screens. Ensure your screen is calibrated correctly to view colours as accurately as possible.
Those with cat allergies, please be aware a gorgeous little kitty living at the Fiber Lily residence.
