Shale hand dyed yarn is a mid grey with hints of darker gun metal grey spattered throughout – Shale is also available as part of the ‘Grey Scale’ Melt Pack
Shale is soaked and rinsed multiple times till the water runs clear. This ensures colour bleeding is minimal in your finished project.
If you require sweater quantities of this colourway please contact me for a custom order (four or more skeins of the same colourway). Although it is the very nature of hand dyed yarn to be unique from skein to skein, ordering more of the same colourway in the future increases the chance of the colours being more varied. Custom orders are dyed all at once and are more likely to be closer in colour.

Fiber Lily yarns are hand dyed (not mass produced using machines). Therefore, you can possibly expect small amounts of bare yarn within any given skein. Skeins may also vary in colour and speckle saturation, from skein to skein and within the same skein. Your project may work up differently to the sample shown (if shown). This is the very nature and charm of hand dyed yarn, and the reason why alternating skeins is strongly advised.
Best colour representation as possible however, colours may vary slightly between screens.
The images for each colourway are stock images. New pictures are not uploaded with each new restock.
Those with cat allergies, please be aware that I do have two kitties that live at the Fiber Lily residence.
